Synopsis & Plot Summary
Mildred Gower (Alma Rubens), in order to save her extravagant mother, Mrs. Elton Gower (Eugenie Besserer), from bankruptcy and the associated shame and scandal, is forced to accept the proposal Lemuel Sidall (William Welsh), a wealthy man she loathes.
